In a laid-back, rustic venue in San Diego, Nick Shackelford and James Van Elswyk hosted Geek Out San Diego 2021.

Trees growing inside a brick hall

Speakers stood on a low stage against exposed brick, beside a pull-up banner for Geek Out San Diego. Trees grew inside the hall, and in a wood-panelled room, fairy lights ran along the ceiling above a high table where guests stood and talked.

Laptops open along the long tables

Attendees sat at long wooden tables with their laptops out, facing the stage, and a blue swirl mural covered one wall. A few wore white Geekout San Diego hoodies lettered in a baseball script.

In 2022 we planned Geek Out San Diego 2022 at Belmont Park in Mission Beach, where a framed sign asked guests to pick a cup by topic.
