Our Mad Hatter's Tea Party was set outdoors by the water, with round tables in pink linens and burlap and lace runners styled after the Mad Hatter's own table.

The centerpieces mixed old books, moss and wood slices with small clocks, turquoise and black birdcages, floral teacups and "Drink Me" bottles. One red copy of Alice in Wonderland carried a tag reading "We're all MAD here", and a clock drooped over the edge of a stand beside a bunch of sunflowers.

Tagged teacups and Eat Me cookies

Paper tags tucked into the teacups quoted the story: "I'm Late! I'm Late! for a very Important Date" on one, "How long is forever? Sometimes, just one second." on another. On the dessert table, a plate of cookies was iced as pink mushrooms, old keys and green rounds lettered "Eat Me", next to pastel macarons, cupcakes and chocolate cake pops.

At dusk, strings of lights and a glowing globe hung over the crowd between the palm trees. Purple, pink and white florals hung beside a hedge wall with a clock and a giant pink flower. Walking in Wonderland moved the story to a terrace at sunset.
