Our Retro 1950’s Diner party brought back the soda shop, with staff in white paper hats, red suspenders and bow ties and a tall milkshake cutout marked SODA SHOP against the wall.

The candy bar was stocked with lollipops and a glass jar of wrapped candy beside a teal Candy Bar sign on an easel. A popcorn machine stood at one end behind a yellow Hot Buttered Popcorn sign, with striped popcorn boxes lined up along the rest of the table.

A soda bar glowing blue under vinyl records

The bar and the floor in front of it were lit blue from inside, with white stools, glass Coke bottles and a Have a Coke napkin holder on the counter. Vinyl records hung on pink drapes behind it, and a printed diner scene with red stools stood to one side.
