We gave Barbara’s 90th birthday party a modern vintage theme, pairing present-day touches like a photo booth and custom cookies with nostalgic details on every table. Guests were met by an easel sign reading "Welcome to Barbie’s 90th Birthday Party."

Having a Ball cookies and lace tablecloths

The custom cookies were shaped like mason jars, iced in mint and piped with "Having a Ball, Since 1932." Long tables in the garden were covered in white lace and lined with wood-framed chairs, and each place had a floral plate, a pink linen napkin tied in a knot, gold cutlery with pink handles and a menu card headed "Let’s eat!"

Old photos as centerpieces

Barbara’s old photos lay around small bud vases of white roses and hydrangeas on the tables. The white cake carried a cream rose, pink stock and a gold glitter "cheers to 90 years" topper. Among our other birthdays, Kristin’s 40th Birthday mixed 80s music with a travel theme, and Leia’s 21st Birthday had a boots and booze theme.
