Boots and booze was the theme for Leia’s 21st birthday party, a laid-back country night with upbeat music and dancing. Lit 21 marquee numbers and Happy Birthday Leia letters on dark wood planks stood in the driveway.

Grab a jar and head to the bar

The yard was spread with straw and set with hay bale seats around fire pits under string lights. A chalkboard told guests to "Grab a jar & head to the bar" beside rows of mason jars, and a gold-framed Boots & Booze menu listed a strawberry margarita, a rosé lemonade and a Jack & Coke. The napkins read "Twenty One, cheers to Leia’s 21st birthday."

Cow print cookies and cowboy hats

Straw cowboy hats and red and black bandanas were piled on a hay bale. The cookies were iced in cow print and piped with "twenty one" in pink, with one plaque cookie piped with Leia’s name, and drinks came with cactus picks and lime wheels. We also planned Barbara’s 90th Birthday, a modern vintage party set with lace tablecloths.
